The CEO posted to Twitter Monday announcing the news about the artist in a tweet saying, "Green County Just Gave @FoogianoDaMayor 5 years for cutting an ankle monitor for a gun charge that wasn’t his and was claimed by some one else this is beyond crazy we have to do something about this," he tweeted.
Foogiano, a 27-year-old Greensboro native whose real name is Kwame Khalil Brown, was arrested back in March by a task force with the U.S. Marshal’s Office, according to Memphis police.
Brown was wanted in Greene County, where authorities said he was released on $50,000 cash bond in December 2020 for a probation violation, then shed a court-ordered ankle monitor, which was recovered in Barrow County.
Greene County Sheriff Donnie Harrison said Monday that his office is awaiting an extradition order. The warrant for his arrest was obtained by the probation department in Greene County.
