Boston Celtics Finalize Ime Udoka As Team's New Head Coach


According to ESPN Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Boston Celtics are finalizing an agreement to hire Brooklyn Nets assistant Ime Udoka as the franchise's new Head Coach.


Celtics' President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens has made a few significant moves over the past week since assuming the position. The franchise president has now finalize an agreement with Ime Udoka as the teams 18th coach in the franchise history. Boston's All-Stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, as well as longest-tenured Celtic Marcus Smart all gave Brad Stevens their stamp of approval on the hire.


Stevens was believed to value Udoka's extensive experience as an assistant with the Spurs, Sixers and Nets. Udoka has developed into a top head coaching candidate in his cycle, and seemed destined to get the job, Adrian Wojnarowski reported.
