First Look at The adidas Forum Mid In Patent Leather

Since its return, adidas has provided the Forum Mid and Low quite a bit of TLC. And in 2021, that hasn’t changed at all as we’ve seen more than a handful of colorways in just the past few months alone. Soon, they’ll keep up the momentum with further variations — this pair, though unassuming in its scheme, made novel in its use of what seems to be patent leather.

These materials are kept rather subtle here. Whereas most would feature the gloss in dark black, this offering prefers to offset it with bright white neutrals. This execution is echoed throughout the entire upper, with straps, lace units, and the like matching for the most part. The tooling, though, departs by a wide margin, yellowing to a degree that makes the release appear vintage.

For a better look, see the official images above. As they’re available overseas in Japan, it shouldn’t be too long before we see a stateside launch at retailers and adidas.com.
